Agriculture is the economic activity par excellence and tradition.

characterized by the production of potatoes, carrots, chives, wheat and garlic, as well as oats, broad beans, peas and barley, as complementary items. The second economic activity is tourism, with horseback riding through the mountains, lagoons and trails an emblematic activity in the sector; That is why in this place we find the ASOCAPA (Association of Horsemen of the Andean Páramo), made up of 48 members, who depend on the high seasons of national and international tourism for their sustenance and maintenance of the horses.
